全素宴一樣美味!A delicious vegetarian course

疫情再利害,也不影響我追尋美食的樂趣。這天和一位素食的朋友,去新世界酒樓點個全素宴,計有椒鹽豆付,金銀蛋浸菠菜,羅漢斎煎米,雪山包和雞尾包.....全素,但全都好味。


朋友最愛椒鹽豆付,一邊吃一邊不忘游説我:你多吃點這個,外面脆內裡鬆軟,㕑師有功夫的呀!


我不是不愛香口豆腐,但我更愛那道菜汁香濃,和覆蓋在下面那煎得脆脆的,口感特佳的米粉餅。


我們倆吃到撐不下,桌上剩下的菜仍然夠做兩份便當。這樣中午晚上都不需要自己動手煑,多好。(馮小茹)


Whichever way the pandemic may go, it will not diminish my desire to look for delicious food. I went out with my vegetarian friend to Mekong Palace Dim Sum Chinese Restaurant the other day for a full vegetarian course. The meal came with salt and pepper tofu, salted and preserved egg with spinach, Buddha’s delight with fried rice noodles, and cocktail bun, fully vegetarian and all expertly prepared. My friend loved their salt and pepper tofu the most, as she was eating she kept persuading me to eat more of it. In her own words “the outside is so crispy but the inside is and soft and spongy, the chef must be very skillful.”


It’s not that I feel any different about the delicious tofu dish, but it’s the fact that I fell in love with the toasty and crispiness that’s covered with a delicious sauce. The rice noodle hidden beneath the Buddha’s delight.


We ate until we couldn’t move anymore, we still have enough left over on the table for two to-go boxes. Isn’t it awesome that I don’t have to cook both in the afternoon or at night?
